I’ve been a fan of the JamMan series of loopers since the original. But I’ve always had them on bypass switches because they can be a little noisy, and not true bypass.
So I was excited when I saw that they released the JamMan Express XT, with TRUE BYPASS written all over it, and the advertising. The only problem: it’s a lie. This pedal is not at all true bypass…and it’s noisier than the JamMan Solo!
Now I just need to decide if it’s worth building another bypass box for it, or trying something like the Ditto out.

In case anybody was wondering, using a true isolated power source greatly reduces the noise. It’s still definitely not true-bypass, so I wound up making a looper for it.
